Reginae Carter, the daughter of iconic American rapper Lil Wayne, has sparked laughter across Nigerian social media following her humorous reaction to tasting garri and groundnut for the first time.
In a now-viral clip, Reginae was seen hanging out with Nigerian skit maker Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, popularly known as Shanks, and his friends. During their interaction, Shanks decided to introduce her to one of Nigeria’s popular quick meals garri paired with groundnut.
Although hesitant at first, Reginae eventually gave in and took a small bite, cheered on by Shanks and the group. Moments later, however, she couldn’t hide her discomfort and was captured quickly spitting it out, laughing and apologising as she did so.
Shanks responded jokingly, saying, “She is not one of us. You’re not eating it with an open heart,” prompting even more laughs from those around.
The lighthearted moment has since trended online, with Nigerians playfully weighing in on her honest response to the traditional snack.
