A fresh twist has unfolded in the ongoing drama surrounding Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, following his appearance on Nedu’s podcast and the subsequent backlash.
During his time on the show, 2Baba made controversial remarks about men and their polygamous tendencies. The comments quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions across social media. In the aftermath, 2Baba issued a public apology to his wife, which further fueled public discourse.
Amid the buzz, popular blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus alleged that Nedu breached a private agreement made with 2Baba prior to the interview. According to her, the duo had a mutual understanding that 2Baba’s appearance on the podcast would be carefully managed, with both parties reviewing the final edit before release.
Stella claimed 2Baba later expressed reservations about airing the interview and asked Nedu not to publish it. However, Nedu reportedly ignored his request and went ahead with the release. She also alleged that the singer has since tried contacting Nedu to no avail.
While some fans criticized Nedu’s actions as unprofessional, others questioned 2Baba’s stance, arguing that his views align with his long-known lifestyle and lyrical themes.

@preshspice:”Still doesn’t change the fact that 2face said it without being under duress. He should own it with his full chest as this isn’t the first time he’s saying something like this tho.”
@hildaomes:”Na baby him be? Did Nedu ask him to say that he said? He spoke based on his feelings and it ain’t the first time he is saying this thing. Even in his songs he insinuates that he is a father of many nations.”
@ikhinesandra:”Nedu has suffered sha.”
@aleezahsskincare:”This thing of blaming Nedu when podcasts are broadcasted and they start getting backlash is so funny to me, it’s like posting your bank details on instagram and then blaming IG for allowing the post to be up on here.”
