Chaos as Iran hits Israel with new missile, four dead despite ceasefire deal

Iran has reportedly launched a new missile at Israel, with at least four people killed in a fresh wave of strikes, despite Tehran’s claims that the ceasefire has already begun.

Israel’s emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), confirmed that four civilians lost their lives at the scene of a missile impact in the southern city of Beersheba.

Several others were injured, with two reported to be in moderate condition, while at least 20 people suffered minor injuries or anxiety-related symptoms.

The attack comes just hours after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that Iran had stopped its military retaliation against Israel as of 4 a.m. local time.

However, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported air raid sirens sounding across parts of the country shortly before 6 a.m., warning of incoming missiles from Iran.

The latest escalation follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire deal between Iran and Israel, which he claimed would end the 12-day conflict within 24 hours.

Trump, who revealed the agreement in a Truth Social post, stated that both nations were to wind down ongoing operations before the ceasefire would take full effect.

Despite the announcement, both sides have continued to trade threats, with Iran stating that it has “no intention to continue” military operations provided Israel halts its attacks.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials warned of continued Iranian missile barrages as the clock ticks toward the ceasefire deadline.
