The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, has announced that the annual vacation for judges of the state’s High Court will commence on Monday, July 21, 2025.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Registrar of the Rivers State High Court, David Ihua Maduenyi.
Maduenyi noted that normal court sittings will resume on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
According to the statement, the vacation is in line with Order 49, Rule 4 of the High Court of Rivers State (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2023, as amended.
It further stated that all judicial divisions of the High Court will remain closed during the vacation period.
The Chief Registrar added that any urgent matters filed during the vacation will be handled by vacation judges to be appointed by the Chief Judge.
