Comedian and actor Woli Arole has stirred online reactions following a controversial statement urging women to embrace traditional motherhood.
Taking to his social media pages, Arole emphasized the importance of women carrying their own children, framing it as both a spiritual and natural responsibility.
“Listen carefully, it is a blessing for a woman to carry her baby in her womb. That’s how God wants it. Don’t let wokeness derail you,” he wrote.
He went on to acknowledge medical exceptions where alternatives like surrogacy or IVF may be necessary, but criticized the idea of choosing such options purely out of personal preference.
“Unless for medical reasons, then she can adopt options like surrogacy, IVF and all. You can’t say, my body, my decision, I don’t feel like carrying a child, I want surrogacy.’ Noooo! Your body is God’s temple!” he added.
