Nigerian artist Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, better known as Portable, has publicly criticized fellow musician Ric Hassani following their collaboration on the track 4x2x16.
The head of Zeh Nation expressed frustration after noticing the song’s rising popularity, claiming he deserves additional compensation for his contribution. According to Portable, the initial agreement for the feature was arranged by his manager, but he now feels underpaid considering the song’s success.
Drawing comparisons, Portable referenced his previous collaboration with Skepta, who reportedly praised his verse and personally reached out with compliments.
In a video circulating online, Portable issued a direct message to Ric Hassani, demanding an extra ₦5 million and “Canadian loud” as further appreciation for his role in the track. He cautioned Hassani against taking his efforts for granted.
The singer’s demands sparked backlash from fans, with many accusing him of being unreasonable and overly money-driven. Meanwhile, others criticized Ric Hassani’s decision to work with Portable, known for his frequent controversies.
