WWE legend Rikishi has criticised WWE’s creative team over American wrestler Jey Uso’s short-lived title reign.
Rikishi insisted that WWE’s creative team failed to build an actual storyline and has called for them to be sacked.
The former wrestler made the remarks during his appearance on his Off The Top Podcast.
Recall that Uso won the World Heavyweight Title after defeating Gunther at WrestleMania 41.
The 39-year-old clinched his first-ever world title in his storied wrestling career.
However, Uso’s title reign lasted only 51 days, as he was beaten by the Ring General on Monday Night RAW.
“Fire those that are writing for this kid here. If you can’t come up with something simple to promote and push your champion, that you, not me, you decided to put this kid in that position,” Rikishi said.
“All of a sudden the brains went just cloudy. You cannot write, you cannot think of an angle for Jey.
“Well, you cannot do your job. I say best endeavours, get the hell out the way. Put somebody in that position.”
