Real Madrid forward, Kylian Mbappe, has made his choice of the player to win the Ballon d’Or this years.
The French national team captain is backing his teammate, Ousmane Dembele, to pick up the gong.
He believes the attacker has performed way above Barcelona youngster, Lamine Yamal this year.
Mbappe said his vote would without a doubt go to Dembele to win the coveted individual accolade.
The French attacker told RMC Sport, “Would I vote for Dembele? yes. Do I really need to explain?
“We’re talking about Yamal and Dembele, I’m going for Dembele. It’s very clean.”
Dembele left Barcelona for Les Parisiens in the summer of 2023 and helped the capital city club to a treble campaign.
He played 49 games for Luis Enrique’s side, scoring 33 goals and providing 15 assists across all competitions.
Yamal bagged on the other hand played 55 games for Barça with 18 goals and 25 assists to show for it.
He won the La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup and has led Spain to the final of the the UEFA Nations League where they will play Portugal later today.
