The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has enjoined all Nigerians, especially those occupying public positions to live a selfless life of service to God and humanity to create a legacy worthy of emulation by upcoming leaders.
Madumere highlighted that it is not life that matters but how many lives were positively touched through the position people finds themselves, the courage, enduring legacies, tenacity of purpose created.
He made the assertion while paying tributes to his mother, Ugoeze Malinda Madumere in marking one year memorial service of her demise held at St.Luck’s Anglican Church,Achi Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA Imo State.
The former Deputy Governor encouraged those occupying public positions to be mindful of how they live and reflect on what they would be remembered for at the end of the day.
“We must re examine our lives and reaccess same if it falls in line with the purpose of God and humanity as we must all give account of our stewardship at the end of the day.”he said.
Madumere regretted that greed has taken over every sphere of human engagement maintaining that it will help to sanitize the society.
The former Deputy Governor revealed that the outing service in honour of his mother was not only a moment of reflection but also a celebration of faith, love, and enduring legacy, which represents hallmark of the Madumere royal dynasty.
Prince Madumere an American trained technocrat expressed gratitude to God for a life well spent by the Matriarch, Ugoeze Madumere for God and humanity. These he submitted, translated to the lifestyle of the royal household.
The Ex Deputy Governor used the opportunity to pray for long life, prosperity and divine protection for the family and the entire community.
Speaking on the topic, “Beware of Satanic Schemes” and drawing from the book of Romans 4: 23-24, Venerable Joshua Onwuliri, of the Diocese of Owerri, admonished the congregation to live Christ-like lives and remain spiritually vigilant in anticipation of eternal life.
Leading the outing service on behalf of the family was Prince Chijioke Madumere, the elder brother to the former State Deputy Governor.
