Victor Osimhen expresses confidence in the capabilities of coach Jose Peseiro to lead the Super Eagles to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Following the expiration of Peseiro’s contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) at the end of the previous month, his future remains uncertain as deliberations continue into the new month.
NFF President Shehu Gusau had previously mentioned in an interview that public opinion would be sought before making a decision regarding Peseiro’s tenure.
However, Osimhen has now shared his viewpoint, expressing his desire for the former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach to continue leading the three-time African champions.
In an interview with Wazobia FM Radio Lagos, Osimhen highlighted Peseiro’s tactical acumen and his ability to command the Super Eagles squad, which he considers to be of utmost importance. He further emphasized that the coach possesses a clear vision and understanding of what he wants to achieve.
