Stakeholders in the Niger State region, particularly from oil and gas producing communities have commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the completed onshore divestment deal of $2.4bn between Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited and Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited.
The stakeholders who are members of Niger Delta Oil Communities Agenda NIDOCA, also congratulated Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited and Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, for the successful sealing of the transaction.
This was made known on Sunday in Warri, Delta State, in a statement issued and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Pastor Emma Akpovoka.
The group, specifically commended Mr. Osagie Okunbor, Country Chair, Shell Companies in Nigeria SCiN, and his laudable team for pushing the onshore divestment through and ensuring the successful acquisition of SPDC’s shares by Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited.
It also expressed confidence in the leadership of Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, ably led by Engr. Tony Attah, as Chief Executive Officer to sustain the company-stakeholders relations for business continuity and operations.

The group further urged stakeholders and host communities to the divested assets to extend the prevailing cordial working relationship to Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited as the new company takes over operations.
The Renaissance consortium comprises the following companies, ND Western Limited, Aradel Holdings Plc, FIRST Exploration and Petroleum Development Company Limited, Waltersmith Group, and Petrolin, an international energy firm.
