A Ghanaian lady has sparked reactions online after shaming broke guys who are unable to support their partners’ families during emergencies. She also advised women to prioritize dating wealthy men.
This came to light in a trending post on a popular social media platform, X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the post, she painted a hypothetical scenario where a woman’s mother is admitted to the hospital and requires surgery costing around GHS 3,000 to GHS 4,000.
She noted that a broke boyfriend would be unable to cover such expenses, which could ultimately lead to the mother’s death.
Based on this, she strongly urged ladies to avoid dating broke men.
Part of her statement reads: “Imagine you’re dating a broke guy, and your mother is admitted to the emergency ward and you’re asked to pay GHS 3,000 or GHS 4,000 — your mother will definitely die.”
