Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has revealed that his team need to win at least seven home matches to finish in the Premier League top 4 this season.
Maresca spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Saturday evening.
According to him, if his players win their seven remaining home games, they will return to the Champions League.
Maresca had often dismissed talks that Chelsea are competing for the title this term.
Maresca’s side currently sit in the 6th position in the Premier League table behind Liverpool, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Bournemouth.
The Blues are one point behind fourth placed Manchester City on the log after 25 matches.
“We have 13 games to go and seven of them are at home,” Maresca told a news conference on Friday.
“I think that winning the seven at home can be enough to finish top four,” he added.
