Mixed reactions is trailing a press statement popular internet provider, MTN release on the 200 percent data tariff increase.
Gistreel recalls that Nigerians were thrown into a frenzy after discovering that there had been a 200 percent data tariff increase, with N2000 for 15GB turning to N6K.
Following this, MTN took to their official X page to address the increase.
They appologized to Nigerians about the increase, and acknowledge the anger of the people.
The network provider urged netizens to ‘forgive and forget’. However, nn mention was made on whether the data price would be reviewed.

You dey vex. We know.
We know how upsetting it must have been to suddenly wake up to a 200% increase on your favourite digital bundle.
We could share several reasons, and provide explanahions, bur omo, all that One na story.
We don cast. We get it and admit it. Let’s just say na mistake.
