The Super Eagles of Nigeria have released their starting
line up ahead of their final 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign match against
Rwanda.
Coach Austin Eguavoen, who is without the services of
first-choice goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has reposed faith in Udinese’s Maduka
Okoye to start in between the sticks for the Eagles.
In defence, William Troost-Ekong leads the cast along with
Gabriel Osho, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Bruno Onyemeachi.
Raphael Onyedika, Alhassan Yusuf and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru
make up the three-man midfield while Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon and Victor
Boniface start in attack.
The match will be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in
Uyo.
Recall Nigeria already secured their spot in the AFCON
tournament, set to take place in Morocco, after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against
Benin Republic in their last outing.
Rwanda faces a more precarious situation as the Amavubi need
a win against Nigeria to keep their slim hope of AFCON qualification alive and
send a strong message ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers, where they
share a group with Nigeria and Benin Republic.
