A 9-month-old infant and three other persons have been killed in an attack by gunmen at Nkiendowro community of Bassa local government area of Plateau State.
The attack, which happened on Wednesday, led to the killing of two women and one man while two others sustained injuries.
The four were said to be conveying tomatoes from Nkiendowro community, from where they planned to transport it to Farin-Gada market in Jos.
The Miango community security commander, Josiah Zongo, confirmed the incident, saying that the victims have been taken to the mortuary, while those injured were receiving treatment at an undisclosed health facility.
The state police command has not reacted to the incident.
