A twenty-eight-year-old boy, Ufuoma Umurie at about 2am on Wednesday butchered and killed his father, Rev. Isaac Umurie, a serving priest with the St. John's Anglican Church, Okpare-Olomu Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The suspect also chased his mother with the cutlass with which he killed his father.
The skull of the deceased and other body parts were mutilated, DAILY POST can report.
The incident caused serious tension within the community.
Details as to why the deceased killed his father were still sketchy at the time of this report.
The suspect has been arrested and handed over to the Police, Otu-Jeremi Division.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent confirmed the report.
He said the suspect will be prosecuted in line with the laws of Nigeria.
