Tochukwu Ojogwu, a rapidly emerging hip-hop artist widely recognized as Odumodublvck, shares the harrowing experience of being hospitalized and on the verge of death just a few days prior to attaining fame.
The singer, renowned for his hit track ‘Declan Rice,' recalls a significant incident that occurred in 2022, shortly after his release from the hospital following a major surgical procedure.
During that period, Odumodublvck's friends reached out to him with exhilarating news: Wizkid had endorsed his song ‘Picanto,' featuring Zlatan Ibile, by sharing it on social media.
Odumodublvck interprets Wizkid's action as a divine sign from God, indicating that he would achieve tremendous success in his musical career.
These revelations were disclosed by Odumodublvck during his recent appearance on the Body & Soul podcast, hosted by singer Joeboy.
Reflecting on his near-death experience and subsequent journey to fame, Odumodublvck states:
“Do you hear how I'm speaking? It's not because of these grills on my teeth, but because I underwent a life-threatening surgery. I came close to losing my life, but by God's grace, I am here today. And once God saved me, everything that followed was not surprising.
“My friends can testify that I survived on baby food for two weeks. Moreover, I had sixteen stitches in my mouth, man. The day Wizkid shared my work on his social media was the exact day of my discharge from the hospital.
“I woke up in the morning to find a message from him at 7 am, and when I checked my Instagram, everyone was informing me that Wizkid had posted ‘Picanto.' That moment served as God's first message to me, assuring me that He was by my side. He conveyed that everything that would transpire henceforth would exceed all expectations and surpass what eyes have witnessed and ears have heard.”
